Avatar: The Last Airbender (Seasons 2 & 3)
In March 2024, Netflix confirmed that the series would continue with seasons 5 and 6, but the third revival was declared its finale. The executive producers have hinted at what viewers can anticipate in the upcoming season: Expect Sokka’s cunning strategies to shine brighter, Katara’s bending skills to amaze, and Appa and Momo to remain as adorable as ever. Additionally, Aang will be mastering new bending techniques (perhaps even two). The exact release date has yet to be announced.
Avatar: Seven Havens (And Other Sequels)
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise, it was revealed that the sequel to The Legend of Korra, titled Avatar: Seven Havens, would be released. This two-part series, comprising 26 episodes in total, is set in a world devastated by a catastrophic event. A young girl named Pavi discovers her roots as an Avatar and is seen as a harbinger of destruction. Furthermore, hints from Avatar Studios suggest that two more sequel series focusing on the Airbender and Firebender Avatars may follow.
Ashes of the Academy (Graphic Novel)
The graphic novel titled “Ashes of the Academy” is set to be published in March 2025. This story follows Kiyi, Zuko, and Mai as they attend the prestigious Royal Fire Academy for Girls. This work is penned by Faith Erin Hicks and beautifully illustrated by Peter Wartman.
Aang: The Last Airbender (And Other Movies)
The premiere date for the first animated film titled “Aang: The Last Airbender” is scheduled for January 30, 2026. This movie will delve into the tales of characters such as Aang, Katara, Toph, Zuko, and Sokka. At present, the names of the other two animated movies in production remain undisclosed.
Untitled AAA Action-RPG
Back in October, Paramount Game Studios and Saber Interactive teamed up with Avatar Studios to develop a video game titled “Avatar Legends.” Since it’s still in its early stages, not much information has been disclosed about the project. The game is set far in the past, featuring players as entirely novel, previously unseen Avatars.
Avatar Legends: City of Echoes
On July 22, 2025, Avatar Legends: City of Echoes – a new novel set in the world of the beloved animated series The Last Airbender – will be released. This captivating story, written by author Judy I. Lin, focuses on the character of Jin. After the loss of her parents, Jin must balance school, survival, and caring for her ailing grandfather. Simultaneously, she will maintain a low profile in the Lower Ring.
