All secrets in Siege – Part 1 – Doom: The Dark Ages

In Doom: The Dark Ages, the first part of Siege hides around a dozen hidden secrets for players to discover. Given its sizeable scope, it’s advisable to pay close attention during gameplay to avoid having to retrace your steps or restart the mission.

Purple Key location – Siege – Part 1


To unlock a few hidden secrets, you’ll require the purple-hued key. Once you enter the main open area, the key will be directly in front of you. After vanquishing the demons, seek out the shrine. The bridge to the left of the shrine is broken, indicating that the key is located on a cliff above it. Follow the path to retrieve the key and then begin your quest for the secrets.

Secret 1


Behind the purple key is a locked door in the mountain protecting a Slayer toy.

Secret 2


The symbol you seek lies hidden, situated to the side of the primary battleground, concealed by a cascading waterfall. Take care to avoid any tentacles emerging from the nearby river.

This version aims to maintain the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-understand language.

Secret 3


To your left, you’ll find a secluded spot, hidden amongst the larger combat zone. Ascend the nearby stone wall and venture inside a cave nestled within it. There’s a suspended cage overhead, hovering above some water.


To reach the Energy Node, you should dive underwater, navigate through a submerged tunnel, and ascend where you’ll need to toss your shield at it. On the opposite side, there’s a lever that lowers a cage into the water when pulled. Dive into the cage to grab the ruby. This section also includes a violet door concealing a weapon skin, which can be accessed once you find the violet key.

Secret 4


Above it’s stated, there’s a hidden spot to your left, marked by a violet door. To obtain the weapon’s unique skin, approach it using the violet key.

Secret 5

Make your way to the remote corner at the rear-left part of the battlefield to uncover the hidden location. As you advance towards the watery zone, be prepared for a boss ambush. Overpower it to unlock a portal leading downwards to a barricaded chamber beneath you. Aim your shield at the Energy Node, break the protective barrier and shatter the obstacle. Then, scale the obstacle and smash through the wall to get to the golden treasure chest.

Secret 6


The secret lies within a golden treasure hidden behind the central portal on the map. To get there, make your way through the left side, clear the enemies lurking in the cave, and then pass through the portal.


In this interior, there’s a small challenge: You have to free the chain-bound central device to acquire the Chainshot gun. Search for a stack of crates in the corner of the main chamber, then ascend them to discover a weak spot in the wall on the left. Breaking through that will lead you to the gold.

Secret 7


The ruby is hidden behind a violet door situated right in the heart of the map, where you’ll uncover yet another secret and the following page in the codex.

Secret 8


The secret you’re seeking is located at a lofty spot on a cliff, right smack in the middle of your map, and it’s close to a section of the ancient text known as the codex. Essentially, this secret is a treasure trove filled with gold. To get there, make your way into the mountain and crack its mysteries. Once you encounter a slime-like creature glowing green, hurl your shield at it, which will help you access the summit. Up there, you’ll find a lever that needs activation to lower a platform. Hop onto this lowered platform and then trace the golden trail up a stack of boxes and out through a tunnel. As you emerge, you’ll spot the codex on an island directly opposite you. Follow the winding path along the cliff edge, eventually leading you to the treasure chest.

Codex


The codex isn’t hidden, but it’s definitely worth obtaining. It’s perched atop a rocky outcrop, situated towards the rear of the map. To access it, venture into the mountain and solve the riddle within. You’ll need to employ the shield climb on the green beast, tug the lever, leap onto the platform, and trace the gold pathway to the cliff’s edge. From there, you can dash and jump from the cliff to the codex.

Toy


Even though it’s not hidden, you’ll surely desire this toy. It’s located at the rear-right section of the map, tucked under one of the colossal statues that overlook a battle with demons.

Codex


The codex page you’re seeking isn’t hidden, it’s located on a rocky outcrop, positioned behind a big statue if you look towards the rear right of your map. To reach it, go underneath the statue and follow the path downwards until you discover the gold; that’s where you’ll find the page.

Secret 9


To uncover this hidden treasure, you’ll need to swim through an underground opening situated at the rear right corner of the region. Be cautious as you navigate through the water, keeping an eye out for any hidden dangers along the way. At the end of your journey, a chest filled with gold awaits!

Secret 10


The secret lies to your right, hidden beyond a wooden barrier fortified like a wall. There’s a stockpile of gold waiting for you there.

Secret 11


As an avid enthusiast, I’d like to share my latest discovery: A trove of gold hidden via another gateway! When you’re ready to confront the cultists, veer to the right side first. Once there, break through the wall and hurl your shield at the cross to make the blocks tumble down.


To advance, swing your shield to climb higher, followed by a leap to locate the lever. Once you’ve found it on the left side, swim through the water, navigate through the corridor, and then throw your shield to reach a high platform. After activating the lever, return to the right side. You can jump across the fallen concrete pillars to collect the gold.
