All new Protoframes coming to Warframe in the Techrot Encore Update

The much-loved Warframe game is set to receive an update titled Techrot Encore as a sequel to its 1999 edition. This update will bring fresh elements such as new game modes, skins, and crucially for fans of the Hex, new Protoframes. Four brand-new Protoframes are being introduced, with three beloved classic Warframes from the past making a return and a fresh character joining the game.

All new Protoframes coming to Warframe in the Techrot Encore Update

In simpler terms, the Protoframes are ordinary individuals who contracted a particular strain of the Helminth Infestation at the hands of Albrecht Entrati, who traveled back to 1999. The initial six Protoframes that form the Hex can be pursued romantically, but it’s important to mention that later Protoframes will follow a more restricted narrative path and will not offer romanceable options.

Minerva (Saryn)

Minerva serves as the foundation or base model for Saryn, a widely acclaimed Warframe who’s made a significant impact on the game’s meta for nearly a decade. Being a former military personnel, she is wedded to Velimir.

Velimir II (Frost)

Similar to Minerva, Velimir was once a soldier, and it appears that his marriage with Minerva might have faced some difficulties along the way. Both of them have returned to Hollvania, where they seek their adopted daughter, Major Rusalka.

Kaya (Nova)

Kaya is known as the first community-crafted Frame within the game, named Nova Protoframe. For quite some time, Nova has been a significant character in this game and enjoys immense popularity. It’s fantastic news that she now owns a Protoframe. In the newly formed team, Kaya serves as the self-taught engineering virtuoso with a particular affinity for unraveling the mysteries of time travel.

Flare (Temple)

In the game Temple, Flare is the 60th addition as a human-like Warframe character. Striving to surpass all notions of artistic mastery and defy both gender and biological limitations, Flare is set to make its appearance. At this point, details reveal that Flare, like other Protoframes, will contribute uniquely to the ongoing narrative in Hollvania, and will also be incorporated into the revamped Defense mission.

Similar to the initial Protoframe designs, a variety of Gemini costumes will be offered, allowing us to embark on our missions as the Protoframes, should we choose to do so.
