All Marvel movies coming out in 2025

As someone who has been following Marvel Cinematic Universe since its inception, I must say that these upcoming movies have me absolutely thrilled! The Fantastic Four has always been my favorite comic book team, and seeing them brought to life on the big screen again is truly exciting.

Marvel Studios plans to kick off Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2025, which could pave the way for brand-new, innovative ideas in the realm of superhero cinema.

Marvel Studios has been facing some tough times recently. They’ve been trying, for quite a while now, to replicate the success of the blockbuster films and series that culminated in Avengers: Endgame, but, as many critics argue, they haven’t quite managed it most of the time.

Admit it, regardless of dismissing opinions that claim Marvel “ran out of money due to being socially conscious” or feeling chilled at theories like Marvel preparing a female-led “M-She-U”, you must acknowledge that some of the more recent installments in the series haven’t been particularly impressive.

Frequently, it seemed as though we were in the fifth stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the endeavors to intertwine the narratives from diverse films and series through the Multiverse appeared unsuccessful, leaving the creative teams unable to fulfill audience expectations.

Last year saw a flurry of rescheduled, postponed concepts, films transforming into series and vice versa, along with introductions of fresh characters and narratives – all contributing to a whirlwind of creativity.

With these innovative ideas serving as our rocket fuel, let’s embark on a journey towards 2025 filled with optimism and excitement! Let’s explore the upcoming films that have us eagerly counting down the days.

Captain America: Brave New World – February 14, 2025

In the aftermath of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” this upcoming film will mark the fourth Captain America movie, but it’s unique as it stars Sam Wilson, portrayed by Anthony Mackie. Post the events of the Infinity War’s Endgame, Steve Rogers passed his shield to Wilson, symbolically passing on the mantle of Captain America. Initially finding it difficult to embrace this role, Wilson made a decision in “TFATWS” to revitalize Captain America by upgrading his Falcon suit.

In “Captain America: Brave New World,” Sam Wilson must determine who is an ally or enemy as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, portrayed by Harrison Ford in the future, ascends to the presidency of the United States and seeks to make Captain America an official military title. Previously played by the late William Hurt, the character of Ross will undergo a transformation into the Red Hulk, a role that also involves him serving as the president. Originally created in the comics as an uninhibited, tactically intelligent adversary to the Hulk, it appears that Ross’s transformation into the red counterpart to the green behemoth could signify the government’s next attempt to replicate Bruce Banner’s transformation following She-Hulk’s Abomination, which might be considered a failure.

The final outcome of the clash between Captain America and the Red Hulk remains unknown. We’ll only discover it on February 14, 2025.

Thunderbolts* – May 2, 2025

The Thunderbolts* are akin to the less virtuous sibling of the Avengers, with characters who haven’t always had the most honorable pasts. The film brings together some of the most intriguing and entertaining figures from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directed by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and helmed by Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier and White Wolf, the Thunderbolts* consist of Florence Pugh’s character Yelena Belova (Black Widow), John “U.S. Agent” Walker portrayed by Wyatt Russel, David Harbour as the Red Guardian, the Ghost from Antman & the Wasp, played by Hannah John-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and… Bob.

Despite fans of the comics having a strong suspicion that Lewis Pullman’s character might embody the Sentry, one of Marvel Comics’ most potent figures, Marvel Studios continues to maintain an air of mystery regarding his true identity.

To truly discover whether Bob will activate his Sentry powers and uncover the mystery behind the title’s asterisk, while also enjoying more screen time from Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan (who are always a delight to watch), it is essential that you visit movie theaters on May 2, 2025.

The Fantastic Four – July 25, 2025

Occasionally, it seems as though the Fantastic Four are often overlooked compared to other Marvel films in terms of successful adaptations. With two movies released in 2005 and 2007 starring Jessica Alba and Chris Evans, a reboot in 2015 with Michael B. Jordan, and an unreleased film from 1994, this marks the third or potentially fourth time that the Silver Screen will feature Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing.

In this upcoming Marvel film, four prominent characters will be portrayed by actors including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. It appears that their story unfolds in a different universe within the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse. Judging from the sneak peeks and trailers, the movie seems to be adopting a more vintage aesthetic, with the Fantastic Four facing off against the Silver Surfer and the world-consuming Galactus.

The question of how they’ll handle this impending threat, given that Pedro Pascal could either look clean-cut or a bit scruffy, and with Robert Downey Jr. portraying Victor Van Doom in his upcoming role, can only be answered when the movie premieres on July 25, 2025.

Blade – TBD

Wesley Snipes’ character Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine famously stated “There will only ever be one Blade“, but it remains uncertain if this prediction will ultimately hold true. The development of the new adaptation of the Daywalker’s fight against the vampire realm has been quite chaotic. The film has undergone numerous changes in writers, producers, and actors, which caused delays from its initially planned 2023 release date and now it has even been removed from Marvel’s 2025 schedule.

Currently, it’s uncertain if Blade will indeed be portrayed by Mahershala Ali, who previously appeared as Cottonmouth in Netflix’s Luke Cage and lent his voice (at least audibly) in the post-credit scene of The Eternals.

What are your thoughts on these upcoming movies? Which one are you waiting the most for?
