As a seasoned Tenno with countless hours spent in the ever-evolving world of Warframe, I can’t help but feel a shiver of anticipation down my spine as Cyte-09 approaches the Origin System. With the Warframe: 1999 update looming in December, this intriguing newcomer promises to shake up our arsenal with his unique focus on long-range damage and an exalted sniper rifle – a first for the game!

Cyte-09 is en route to the Origin System and is expected to arrive with the Warframe Update 1999 in December. This unique character specializes in dealing damage from a distance due to his powerful, one-of-a-kind sniper rifle.

All Cyte-09’s abilities in Warframe

Similar to most Warframes, Cyte-09 is equipped with four unique abilities, providing a versatile set that not only bolsters teammates but also delivers significant firepower.

  • Seek – Plant an antenna that projects a forward wave scan. Detected enemies take increased Weak Point Damage and become visible through walls. Weapons gain Punchthrough.
  • Resupply – Throw two Elemental Ammo Packs that instantly refill the active weapon’s magazine while granting the weapon an additional instance of the selected Elemental Damage and Status Effect. Reload clears the effect. Sniper Rifles gain extra damage. Hold the ability to select the Elemental Damage type.
  • Evade – Jump backward and become invisible for a short duration. Weak Point kills extend the duration and heal Cyte-09.
  • Neutralize – Summon the Neutralizer, Cyte-09’s exalted Sniper Rifle. Bullets ricochet off Weak Points to seek out other nearby Weak Points. Alt fire lobs a Cold grenade that completely freezes enemies.

One of the main concerns I had regarding his equipment was how his sniper specialty would fare in a game predominantly filled with hordes of enemies, given that the current strategy revolves around swiftly eliminating large groups. It appears now that his exalted weapon incorporates some area-of-effect capabilities; surprisingly, this sniper rifle enables him to deal with swarms of enemies effectively.
