As a gamer with a soft spot for survival horror games, the news of Alien: Isolation 2 being in development has sent my heart racing faster than I ever did when evading the Xenomorph in the original game. It’s been seven long years since I first ventured onto the Sevastopol Station, and now, a decade after its release, Creative Assembly is giving us another chance to don our space suits and feel that palpable sense of fear again.
In the vastness of space, no one can hear your screams, but on the internet, Creative Assembly and Sega certainly did. Fans’ pleas were not ignored; Alien: Isolation 2 has been confirmed for development.
Creative Assembly in early development on Alien: Isolation 2
As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that ten years after the original masterpiece, the creative genius behind it, Al Hope, has officially announced Alien: Isolation 2! In his recent statement, he revealed that the sequel is currently in its early stages of development, and for now, the platforms it will grace remain a mystery.
10 years later, it feels right to share some exciting news with you. On behalf of our team, I’m thrilled to announce that a follow-up to the game Alien: Isolation is currently in its early stages of development. We can’t wait to reveal more information when the time comes.
Apart from expressing gratitude, I’d like to acknowledge a decade of unwavering support from our amazing fans towards our initial submission. Also, a big shout-out to the dedicated team behind that project!
Hope offers her heartfelt thanks, whether you’re an experienced survivor of Nightmare Mode or a newcomer embarking on your first adventure as Amanda Ripley. “This was a dream project,” she says, “brought to fruition by a talented team. Your response to it over the years has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Initially launched on October 7, 2014, “Alien: Isolation” was praised by Christopher Jimenez in his review as an “excellent ride,” stating that while it may not appeal to everyone, it certainly delivers a “Alien game worth having.” Despite initial resistance, the game performs well in its intended role.
As a hardcore gamer and an avid fan of the Alien franchise, I’ve got to say it’s been pretty exhilarating lately! The recent drop of Alien: Romulus has been a hit among critics, harkening back to the series’ original glory. And get this – there’s a new FX show in the pipeline called Alien: Earth, set for a 2025 release window on Hulu. Can’t wait to see what they’ve got planned!
