Alien: Earth Trailer Teases A Tense Xenomorph Showdown in FX Show

A fresh teaser trailer for the forthcoming sci-fi horror series on FX, titled “Alien: Earth“, has been unveiled. The series is anticipated to premiere on Hulu sometime during the summer season.

In the story, an unidentified spaceship unexpectedly crashes onto our planet. A youthful woman and a diverse band of tactically skilled troops stumble upon a revelation that sets them against Earth’s most formidable danger.

What happens in the new Alien: Earth trailer?

The video opens showing a crew member from an incoming spaceship, which is about to crash on Earth. He’s reporting in from a secured control room, but leaves another female crew member outside, exposing her to the danger of a Xenomorph. This story unfolds two years prior to the events depicted in Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie Alien, starring Sigourney Weaver.

The characters Sydney Chandler portrays Wendy, Timothy Olyphant takes on Kirsh, Alex Lawther plays soldier CJ, Kit Young is Tootles, Samuel Blenkin assumes the role of Boy Kavalier, Essie Davis becomes Dame Silvia, and Adarsh Gourav portrays Slightly. The ensemble also features David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El, Erana James, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, Diem Camille, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Richa Moorjani, Karen Aldridge, Enzo Cilenti, Max Rinehart, Amir Boutrous, Victoria Masoma, Tom Moya, Andy Yu, Michael Smiley, Jamie Bisping, and Tanapol Chuksrida.

This spin-off, unique in being an Alien tale set on Earth, has been penned and helmed by Noah Hawley. Previously, he clarified that the upcoming series won’t incorporate any aspects from the Prometheus or Alien: Covenant films. The show is jointly overseen by Hawley, Ridley Scott, and Dana Gonzales, with Chris Lowenstein contributing as a producer. Over the course of six months, the production was carried out in Thailand.
