What is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip about?

Alexander Garcia has always thought his bad luck was unparalleled, so when mom Val comes up with a plan to take their seemingly disjointed family on a high-end trip to Mexico City in a luxury RV for her travel writing gig, he’s convinced something terrible will happen. However, despite his apprehensions, the family – dad Frank, teenage sister Mia, grandma Lidia, and grandpa Gil – embark on the journey, quickly realizing that everything that could go wrong, is going wrong. As they uncover an ancient, cursed idol as the possible culprit, they band together to return it to its original location.
