The upcoming movie Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has just unveiled its teaser and set a release date for September 25, 2025. However, this timing could create a significant box office rivalry with Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG. It seems probable that one of the films may need to adjust their release schedule to avoid a head-on collision.
As per Aakashavaani’s report, it appears that only one of the two movies will be premiering on the specified date, while the other has been pushed back to December for release. The distributors have reportedly been informed about this delay, but a formal announcement is still pending.
It’s intriguing to point out that, as of now, the specific film in question hasn’t been identified yet. However, it was originally planned for a release on September 27, 2024. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen due to some issues with production timelines.
Discussing the film starring Pawan Kalyan, the highly anticipated Sujeeth-directed production is an action-packed gangster story centered around Ojas Gambheera, a ruthless underworld figure. After vanishing from Mumbai, he reemerges on the streets of Mumbai with vengeance in mind against his arch-enemy, Omi Bhau.
In the leading role as the villain is Emraan Hashmi, while other important characters are played by Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Sriya Reddy, Harish Uthaman, and several others.
Remarkably, the film “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” featuring Pawan Kalyan has delayed its release yet again following several previous setbacks.
Instead of that, the movie Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, is categorized as an action-drama. This production is helmed by Boyapati Sreenu in both direction and co-writing roles. In this sequel, Balakrishna portrays a character who has been honored with the Padma Bhushan award, an Aghora figure. He employs his powers to combat evil forces and protect the world.
