On June 10, 2025, Nandamuri Balakrishna will turn 65 years old. In the lead-up to his birthday festivities, the creators of Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam have unveiled a teaser trailer, and let me tell you, it’s bound to send shivers down your spine!
Experience the breathtaking transformation of NBK’s character! Here are five intriguing details you might have overlooked.
5 things you might’ve missed in Akhanda 2 teaser
1. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s dual looks
The film “Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam” is a follow-up to the 2021 movie “Akhanda,” where NBK played twin brothers. But unlike the first film, this sequel focuses solely on one character: the mighty Aghora, also known as Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Ghora.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but notice something intriguing about the recent teaser for our beloved actor’s upcoming film. Despite the initial scene being set in Kailasam, our hero is mysteriously sporting two distinct looks within the same preview! The first glimpse has him brandishing a Trishul with a majestic Nandi emblem at its center, which adds an enigmatic touch to the whole spectacle.
In the new part, his appearance and approach are significantly distinct from the initial one. The timeline for these events appears to be set either earlier or later than the original series. Additionally, the way the Avatar wields his weapon has changed in comparison to the first installment.
2. More like a superhero in Akhanda 2?
In the film Akhanda, we noticed that NBK’s Aghora character emerged at pivotal instances, seamlessly blending action with hints of mythical prowess. In the upcoming sequel, viewers can anticipate the character maintaining the same enigmatic presence as before, but this time with a significantly amplified divine power.
The impressive character strides confidently through an action scene involving a sleek, fashionable Trishul, emphasizing the widespread popularity of the figure. Although the visual effects could have benefited from some additional polish, it undeniably created a spine-tingling experience.
3. Bigger challenge with the antagonist?
In Akhanda, Rudra predominantly encountered challenges that were relatively minor compared to his abilities. Contrastingly, in this new storyline, a formidable and equally dangerous adversary takes center stage as the primary antagonist.
Although Aadhi Pinishetty is often referred to as the primary villain, his role appears to be that of an ominous sorcerer who makes a brief, sinister appearance cloaked in darkness.
4. Thaman S’s magical score
As Akhanda radiated grandeur, some may not have noticed the colossal and potent background music skillfully composed by Thaman S.
Based on the acclaim he received for his role as Daaku Maharaja in NBK’s movie, it appears that Akhanda 2 will outshine it during Dusshera this year.
5. Good vs Evil
In most of his films, Balakrishna follows a common storyline where good ultimately prevails over evil, significantly influencing the character’s personal growth. The initial movie utilized this classic narrative device, while the subsequent installment delves more into incorporating fantastical elements.
