AK64 Update: Ajith x Lalettan? Mohanlal’s possible collaboration with director Adhik Ravichandran sparks fan frenzy

It appears that Ajith Kumar and director Adhik Ravichandran might collaborate again on a project tentatively known as AK64. Additionally, there are rumors suggesting that Malayalam megastar Mohanlal could act alongside Ajith in this upcoming venture.

According to various sources, such as a post by movie enthusiast Amutha Bharathi, it’s rumored that the creators of Ajith’s 64th movie have proposed a significant part for him. Nonetheless, no official word has been given regarding the film or its cast at this time.

Previously, I, Ajith Kumar, announced my plans to start filming my upcoming project in November 2025. For several years now, I’ve chosen to utilize the racing off-seasons for working on movies instead.

While we’re waiting for confirmation about AK64, several other filmmakers like Karthik Subbaraj, Prashanth Neel, Venkat Prabhu, and even Dhanush are reportedly in discussions with him. However, it appears Adhik is currently the frontrunner for the role.

Discussing Ajith’s racing career, it’s worth noting that he recently established his personal team, called Ajith Kumar Racing. In this role as both the team owner and driver, they have achieved multiple awards thanks to their impressive showings in Dubai and across Europe.

Moving on to Ajith’s film career, the star most recently appeared in the action-drama film titled Good Bad Ugly. This movie, helmed by director Adhik Ravichandran, unfolds the story of AK, a once powerful crime boss famously known as Red Dragon.

Following the arrival of his newborn child, the criminal chooses to make amends for his life filled with wrongdoings by serving a 18-year-long term in prison. Upon getting out, he learns that his boy has been falsely accused of a crime he didn’t commit.

Currently, AK finds himself compelled to revert to his past methods to identify the culprit who harmed his son and exonerate himself completely. The movie, spearheaded by Ajith, boasts a diverse cast that includes Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, and others in significant roles.

In contrast, Mohanlal recently starred as the main character in Thudarum, which was directed by Tharun Moorthy. After the crime drama achieved great success, he will appear in a supporting role for the film Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu.

Additionally, the prominent actor is set to take on a leading part in Hridayapoorvam by Sathyan Anthikad, sharing the screen with Malavika Mohanan.
