Ajith Kumar spills details on cinema plans amidst his racing career ahead of 24H Dubai 2025; ‘I wouldn’t be signing on for films’

Ajith Kumar is fully prepared to join the 24H Dubai 2025 endurance race coming up. Since his participation with his teammates is scheduled from January 11-12, he recently had a brief conversation about it with an overseas news network on the racetrack.

In an interview that’s been widely shared online, the actor disclosed his strategy to maintain his acting career while simultaneously indulging in his love for auto racing. The multi-talented figure expressed, “I aim to immerse myself in motorsports, not only as a driver but also as a team owner. During the off-season of racing, I won’t be taking up film roles.

As we approach the cusp of fall and winter, leading up to the racing season, I’ll likely find myself immersed in film projects. By doing so, I can assure everyone that my focus will be entirely on the track once the races begin.

In the same conversation, Ajith Kumar was inquired whether production companies dictate his racing and rehearsal times due to filming obligations, and if there are particular conditions he includes in his agreements. To this, the star casually answered, “I don’t require instructions on what I can or cannot do.

As a die-hard fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as our racing sensation, about to rule the racetracks, is gearing up for the big showdown! I’ve been following his every move, and it seems he’s not just playing around—he’s seriously honing his skills. However, even a small setback like an accident didn’t deter him from pushing forward.

But that’s not all! Alongside our beloved AK, the Dubai endurance race will see the participation of teammates Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod. The anticipation is building, and I can hardly wait to witness the adrenaline-fueled spectacle that awaits us all!

Regarding Ajith Kumar’s film career, Tamil cinema’s top star is expected to grace the big screens on two different occasions this year. Originally, his movie Vidaamuyarchi was planned for a release during Pongal 2025, but it has been rescheduled; the new date remains undecided as of now.

Instead, it’s announced that AK will star as the main character in the movie titled Good Bad Ugly, which is due to be released by director Adhik Ravichandran on April 10, 2025.
