During a chat with India Today, Ajith Kumar expressed his feelings after receiving the distinguished award, stating that the whole event is yet to feel fully real for him.
Additionally, he spoke out about the multiple suffixes associated with him because of his achievements, voicing his discomfort towards them and highlighting his preference for living modestly as an artist who earns a living from his craft.
Ajith expressed that he doesn’t find it necessary to be labeled with specific titles like “actor” or other nicknames. Instead, simply referring to him as Ajith or AK is sufficient for him. He views his work as just another job, and emphasizes that popularity and wealth are mere side effects of doing a good job. Essentially, he enjoys what he does, having been in the profession for 33 years, and aims to keep his life as uncomplicated as possible.
For those unfamiliar, this isn’t the first occasion that “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” actor has openly voiced his displeasure and made it known that he dislikes being labeled with specific tags frequently applied to him.
Besides that, he frequently encourages his fans to lead fulfilling lives independently rather than fixating on him. Additionally, Ajith always advocates for treating fellow actors with fairness and avoiding any form of fan rivalries.
Regarding AK’s Padma Bhushan award, his wife Shalini and their kids, Anoushka and Aadvik, were there to support him. They enthusiastically applauded as he was bestowed with this great accolade.
