AJ Styles Makes Major Statement After WWE SmackDown Return Gets Scrapped

As a devoted fan with years of wrestling fervor under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tinge of melancholy as AJ Styles, a veritable titan of the ring, seems to be approaching the twilight of his extraordinary career. His journey has been nothing short of legendary, from his humble beginnings to becoming a multi-time WWE Champion and a household name in professional wrestling.

Previously crowned WWE Champion AJ Styles, who was expected to make his comeback on SmackDown last Friday, failed to materialize. Since his appearance at Clash at the Castle in June during a WWE Undisputed Championship match with Cody Rhodes, Styles has been missing from WWE broadcasts.

After his defeat to Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle, Styles took a break from WWE. Yet, he stepped into the ring for Pro Wrestling NOAH and emerged victorious against Naomichi Marufuji during NOAH Destination 2024 on July 13 at Budokan Hall in Japan.

Last week’s reports hinted at AJ Styles potentially appearing on WWE SmackDown in Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, the event saw Roman Reigns attacking the latest Bloodline members instead, while AJ Styles failed to make his expected comeback. Notably, the show showcased stars like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and LA Knight, but AJ Styles’ return was conspicuously absent.

Insights have emerged explaining AJ Styles’ absence from the program. It turned out that WWE had already set their creative direction and believed it wasn’t suitable for him to return at that moment. After plans for his comeback were cancelled, AJ Styles made a significant announcement.

As a die-hard fan, I’ve been missing the electrifying AJ Styles in WWE since June. However, it turns out he was honing his skills elsewhere – Pro Wrestling NOAH to be precise! But guess what? He was also part of WWE’s recent Japan tour, which took place just a week before SummerSlam. Now, after reflecting on his time wrestling in Japan, Styles has made a massive declaration that’s got everyone talking!

AJ Styles reflects on his time in wrestling in Japan

As a passionate gamer and die-hard WWE fan, I’ve just got back from an unforgettable three-day tour in the land of the rising sun – Japan! The energy was electrifying as some of our biggest stars took to the ring to entertain Japanese fans. Even though Styles has been off the radar for a while, he was there, adding to the excitement.

He mentioned, “For those unaware, during my time in Japan with the Bullet Club, I began wearing a mask for our major annual shows. It’s now become tradition that I wear a mask when entering (in Japan). This particular mask might be the last one you see on AJ Styles, so let’s appreciate it.”

47-year-old former WWE Champion AJ Styles appears to be nearing the end of his remarkable wrestling career.
