Recently, Aimee Lou Wood posted a story on Instagram showing off a gorgeous arrangement of orange roses and pink carnations. Accompanying the floral display was a message: “Thanks for the lovely blooms,” which she directed towards Sherman.

In the April 12th episode of Saturday Night Live’s 50th season, there was a comedy sketch named “The White Potus.

Following this, Wood voiced her criticism of the sketch on Instagram, saying it was “rude and unamusing.” She added, “Take the jab indeed – that’s what the show is about – but couldn’t there be a wittier, more complex, less cheap approach?

Later, in another Instagram post, she expanded upon her initial thoughts about the SNL sketch. She clarified that her response wasn’t due to being overly sensitive, but rather because the joke centered around fluoride, while she has large gaps between her teeth, not rotten teeth. She enjoys being made fun of when it’s clever and good-natured, but this particular joke missed the mark. She explained that the rest of the skit was mocking those in power (punching up), yet she and Chelsea were the ones who were targeted unfairly (punched down).
