Aggro Crab Studios, creators of Going Under and Another Crab’s Treasure, have experienced tremendous success with their recent release, Peak. In just under a week, the game has managed to sell over a million copies.
In a recent social media update, Aggro Crab shared they had reached a significant sales milestone for their game, Peak. The post expressed surprise that Peak was selling more copies than another game called Crab’s Treasure, stating “I can’t believe it – this jam game is outselling Crab’s Treasure; I might have to go under!” Launched on June 16, Peak offers a discount of 38% as part of an opening sale. In this cooperative game, players band together to ascend a mountain on an enigmatic island.
According to the article, Peak emerged during a company-wide game development competition (or “jam”) at Aggro Crab, which lasted about a month. This event came about due to financial issues with the planned sequel of Going Under. Alongside Peak, another game called Crashout Crew was also created during this jam session.
At this moment, Aggro Crab is the second most popular game on Steam’s charts, trailing only behind Counter Strike 2. Stay tuned to Shacknews for further news about this year’s exciting indie game releases!
