Patti LuPone’s comment hints Agatha All Along Season 2 is unlikely

Recently, actress Patti LuPone shared insights about the possibility of another season for the series “Agatha All Along” during her appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show on the Sirius XM podcast.

2024 saw Patti LuPone portray Lilia Calderu in the mini-series, expressing her hope for Agatha All Along’s return in Season 2. However, she shared that this wouldn’t be possible. In conversation with Cohen, LuPone said, “No new season is planned. Jac Schaeffer, our creator, visited my trailer to inform me that Lilia would meet her end, and I responded, ‘But I had hoped for a second season.'”

The actress shared the explanation provided by Jac Schaeffer as to why Agatha All Along won’t return for Season 2. She mentioned, “Schaeffer stated, ‘I don’t do second seasons.’ She explained, ‘There’s too much to write,’ so she focuses on standalone episodes. I’m really hoping and wishing that one day I get the chance to collaborate with her again because she’s extraordinary.”

Patti LuPone explained that the reason Schaeffer stepped away from producing Season 2 of WandaVision, which Agatha All Along partially followed up on, was due to her unwillingness to be part of another season. She reminisced, “She told me, ‘They asked me to do a second season of WandaVision, but I declined.’

Patti LuPone’s run as Lilia Calderu came to an end in Episode 7, broadcasted on October 23, 2024. In this episode, we see her bravely giving up herself to protect the rest of the coven from the Salem Seven.
