Agatha All Along Episode 5 Recap, Ending & Teen’s Real Identity Explained

What happened at the end of Agatha All Along Episode 5?

The story unfolds in Salem, Massachusetts during the year 1693. Evanora Harkness, Agatha’s mother, and her coven attempt to mete out punishment upon Agatha for her treachery. However, Agatha’s extraordinary powers enable her to siphon their abilities and vitality. Fast-forwarding to the present, the team reaches a cabin that exudes an ’80s vibe, preparing for the next ordeal. Upon observing the blood moon, Rio deduces that this trial is indeed Agatha’s.

In this scenario, they discover a Ouija Board for talking to ghostly entities. The initial spirit appearing claims to be Death. This appears comical to Rio, hinting that theories about her character embodying death in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may hold truth. Later on, it’s unveiled that the spirit is actually Evanora and she takes control of Agatha. Given the ordeals, Alice seems to have developed abilities, which she then utilizes to attempt rescuing Agatha. Despite managing to drive Evanora out of her daughter’s body, Agatha assimilates Alice’s powers and vitality, resulting in Alice’s demise.

Is Teen Wanda’s Son, Billy Maximoff / Wiccan in Agatha All Along?

Indeed, it’s confirmed that Teen refers to Billy Maximoff, who is Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff’s son. In the comics, Billy Maximoff, also known as Billy Kaplan, takes on the role of a superhero called Wiccan. This fact was subtly verified in Episode 5 of Agatha All Along during its closing scenes.

A teenager attempts to rescue Alice by uttering Nicholas Scratch’s name out loud, having figured out that Agatha’s son’s spirit was present in the room. Regrettably, it was too late. After leaving the cabin, the teenager confronts Agatha, who suddenly exhibits a menacing demeanor when questioned about witchcraft. Agatha comments that the teenager bears a striking resemblance to his mother. This remark seems to awaken something within the teenager, and despite not having any powers previously, blue energy starts whirling around his hands. He manipulates Jennifer and Lilia into lifting Agatha off the ground and tossing her into the muddy ditch by the roadside, where she is completely consumed. The teenager then forces both women into the ditch as well.

By the conclusion of the show, a blue crown mysteriously materialized on the teen’s head, reminiscent of the Scarlet Witch’s emblem, yet distinctively different, solidifying the teen’s role as Wanda’s son.
