The timeless, stop-motion comedy show on Adult Swim known as “Robot Chicken” is commemorating its 20th year by releasing a fresh special, which will be aired during the summer season.
In this special episode titled “The Robot Chicken Self-Discovery Special,” you’ll see satirical takes on popular series from Discovery, Food Network, and TLC. The main character, the bumbling Robot Chicken Nerd, embarks on a journey of self-discovery using an American approach – participating in reality shows! Will he find his soulmate like on 90 Day Fiancé, or risk becoming Shark Week’s next meal?
Initially airing on February 20, 2005, the highly-acclaimed series co-created by and featuring Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, has garnered a total of 23 Emmy nominations, with six victories to its name. The latest win was secured in 2022 for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program.
In honor of the show completing 20 years, Adult Swim will broadcast the series every weeknight this month, featuring a late-night double episode from Monday through Thursday starting at 12:30am Eastern/Pacific Time. Additionally, special episodes of Robot Chicken will air late nights on Sundays at 1am Eastern/Pacific Time. Currently, all 11 seasons of Robot Chicken can be streamed on Max.
