Adam Scott Joins Hokum Cast, Will Lead Next Horror Movie From Oddity Director

As per a recent report by Variety, actor Adam Scott, famously known for his role in Severance, is all set to explore the horror genre anew in Hokum, an upcoming movie directed by Damian McCarthy of Oddity.

Who else is in the Hokum cast?

Joining Scott in the cast will be Peter Coonan and David Wilmot. The upcoming film is from McCarthy, whose previous work “Oddity” saw great success following its release last year. According to Variety’s report, Hokum tells the story of Scott, a horror novelist who unknowingly visits a secluded Irish inn rumored to be haunted by a witch in order to scatter his parents’ ashes.

Scott has plenty of experience in the realm of horror films; he’s starred in several well-known horror productions such as Krampus (2015), Piranha 3D (2010), and Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996). One of his initial acting gigs, Hellraiser: Bloodline marked the beginning of his career in this genre. He’s also set to appear in an upcoming horror movie titled The Monkey.

The movie “Hokum” is set to be produced by a team consisting of Roy Lee and Steven Schneider from Spooky Pictures, Derek Dauchy of Image Nation, and the trio of Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde, and Mairtín de Barra from Tailored Film. Ben Ross, Rami Yasin, and Andrew Childs will act as executive producers for this project.

In a joyful tone, Ross, the acting CEO of Image Nation, expressed that teaming up with Steven and Roy has been an extraordinary adventure. He’s thrilled about how our combined efforts have resulted in groundbreaking projects. Regarding Adam’s exceptional abilities and charisma, as well as Damian’s distinctive vision, this collaboration presents another chance for us to explore the limits of the horror genre and leave a lasting impact on the international scene.
