Actor Rajendra Prasad faces criticism for disrespecting David Warner at Robinhood event, issues apology

A well-known actor named Rajendra Prasad encountered significant criticism on social networking sites following a clip from the Robinhood pre-release event where he spoke with David Warner becoming widely shared. In the video, his words seemed disrespectful and mocking towards the cricketer, igniting a fresh wave of controversy. As a result, the actor felt compelled to address this sensitive matter publicly.

In a video statement, Rajendra Prasad made it clear that he did not mean to upset anyone. Yet, he expressed regret if his words unintentionally caused pain. Prior to the event, they had a friendly gathering where they enjoyed each other’s company. During their chat, he exchanged light-hearted jokes with Nithin and David Warner beforehand.

Rajendra Prasad shared that prior to the pre-release gathering, we had a separate, enjoyable meeting amongst ourselves. During this gathering, I jokingly picked on Nithin and Warner. In jest, I also challenged Warner to demonstrate his acting skills, and he replied by telling me to show my cricketing abilities instead.

Rajendra Prasad went on to express his appreciation for David Warner, acknowledging that he might have used the wrong words earlier. He offered an apology to those who may have been offended and vowed to exercise greater caution in the future.
