As a passionate fan of “Accused,” I’m thrilled to share the latest news about the second season of this captivating anthology series on Fox. Having been hooked since its debut in 2023, I’ve eagerly anticipated each episode and the unique stories it brings, with their innovative narrative structure that keeps viewers guessing until the very end.
Season 2 of Fox’s Accused has added a couple of big names from Suits and Grey’s Anatomy!
In 2023, the program made a impressive debut on the network, drawing positive responses from viewers. Modeled after a British production, this anthology series begins with a character standing trial for a criminal offense. As the story unfolds, the audience is treated to flashbacks that reveal the details of the crime and unexpected plot twists. Ultimately, the verdict is delivered, only to be followed by a flashback that sheds light on the truth and the question of whether justice was truly served.
In the first season, we were treated to an impressive lineup of guest stars such as Michael Chiklis, Rachel Bilson, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Whitney Cummings, Margo Martindale, Abigail Breslin, and Keith Carradine, among others. Due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes, FOX postponed the show’s second coming, but it is now scheduled to debut in October.
In the second series, every episode will likely continue with an unique set of actors and plot twists, as announced: Justin Chambers, Danny Pino, Taylor Schilling, William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, and returning from season 1 is Michael Chiklis.
Now, the show has announced details for two huge guest stars and look to be a huge addition!
Who’s joining Accused season 2?
Based on TVLine’s report, Patrick J. Adams and Jerrika Hinton are set to feature in Season 2. The news outlet reveals that the duo shares screen time in the episode titled “Marcus’ Story.” In this installment, Nick Cannon portrays a tech entrepreneur whose creation of software takes an ominous turn. Jerrika Hinton is cast as Lycia while Patrick J. Adams plays Pete.
Adams gained widespread recognition for portraying Mike Ross in the popular USA Network show “Suits,” which has experienced a resurgence in viewership on Netflix. Subsequently, he appeared in “The Right Stuff,” “A League of Their Own,” and the Canadian comedy series “Plan B.”
Among “Grey’s Anatomy” viewers, Hinton is recognized for her portrayal of Stephanie Edwards. Fans adored this character because of her determination in the face of health challenges before eventually leaving the hospital after barely surviving a fire. Hinton has expanded her resume with roles in “Servant,” “Hunters,” and “A Man In Full.”
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: Adams and Hinton are going to bring some major star power to “Accused” season 2, making the show even more exciting for viewers. It’s always awesome when the guest actors get juicy roles, and having these two talented actors on board will definitely take things up a notch. I can’t wait to see them in new roles and make this season one for the books!
Accused season 2 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 8/7c on Fox.
