The release date for Lanterns hasn’t been announced just yet, but earlier statements suggested it might be released around the same time as Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which is set for a June 26, 2026 launch.
The plot of this series centers around John Stewart and Hal Jordan, two space-faring law enforcers, who find themselves embroiled in a sinister earthbound case while probing a murder that occurred in the Midwest. This is the premise as stated in the logline for Lanterns.
The series “Lanterns” has a trio of writers – Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King, with James Hawes taking on directorial duties for the first two episodes. All four individuals – Mundy, Lindelof, King, and Hawes – hold the position of executive producers.
