In one of the letters, it is said I pondered, “Am I morally wrong? Since I opted to eradicate his life, not dissolve it through divorce.” Allegedly, authorities claim I disclosed details about my husband’s location and earmarked a substantial sum of $11,515 for this act, with an initial payment of $2,500.

The scheme became known when prison authorities found messages on the inmate’s unauthorized phone, such as one inquiring about the status of a supposed attack, and another expressing curiosity about whether the event had occurred: “He is currently sleeping in the hotel room… Could you tell me what’s happening? Can I get an update? Was it completed?

Victoria Goodwin was accused of conspiring to commit murder, a charge she denies. She told authorities that her thoughts were merely daydreams or fantasies about being separated from her husband Aaron Goodwin, not actual plans to kill him. Additionally, she stated that she didn’t recall sending the suspicious messages and maintained that the money in question was intended for purchasing cell phones.
