After observing Punk standing alongside Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, who had previous conflicts with Punk, felt enraged. Post the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames event, Rollins confronted Punk, resulting in a physical altercation that was interrupted by Jey Uso and Sami Zayn.

Over the past couple of weeks, Punk and Rollins have been exchanging heated words. A few weeks prior, they were involved in another massive fight that spanned across the entire arena. As Punk gets ready for his bout against Rollins, he previously faced off with Ludwig Kaiser at Madison Square Garden. Subsequently, the ex-AEW star intervened again by rescuing Damian Priest from an attack by Kaiser and Dominik Mysterio. Grateful for the rescue, Priest extended a message expressing thanks for Punk’s prompt help.

In a steel cage bout against Gunther, Damian Priest witnessed the Ring General clinch the win. Following the fight, Kaiser and Dominik Mysterio assaulted Priest, but CM Punk unexpectedly stepped in to help, appearing in a towel to protect him. This swift action by Punk rapidly spread across social media. Later on, Priest publicly thanked the ex-WWE Champion, affectionately referring to him as his “buddy.

This coming Sunday in Chicago, CM Punk and the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, are scheduled to face off in a high-stakes steel cage match.
