A Quiet Place 3 has received an official update from franchise producer Brad Fuller.
In recent film history, the acclaimed horror series “A Quiet Place” has amassed a significant fanbase since its initial theater release in 2018. This post-apocalyptic horror movie focuses on a family navigating a world where even the slightest sound could potentially endanger their lives.
Because of the movie’s critical acclaim, it got a sequel titled “A Quiet Place Part II” released in 2020 and a prequel called “A Quiet Place: Day One” in 2024. Despite some production setbacks, work on a third film centered around Emily Blunt’s character from the first two films is still ongoing.
What is the latest A Quiet Place 3 update?
During his promotion of the movie “The Astronaut” at SXSW, Fuller clarified in an interview with The Direct that the prequel film “A Quiet Place: Day One,” starring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, is not considered the third installment in Emily Blunt’s horror franchise. He went on to say that they are now focusing on creating a genuine sequel to the existing films.
To clarify, ‘Day One’ is not the same as ‘A Quiet Place 3.’ While we are indeed beginning the production of ‘A Quiet Place 3,’ it’s interesting to note that when we made the first one, John Krasinski didn’t have many commitments. He had recently finished working on ‘The Office,’ and he was eager to try his hand at directing. This quote comes from Fuller, who shared these insights with a media outlet.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the third installment, announced back in 2022. It seems that development has taken longer than expected, with John Krasinski’s packed schedule being a significant factor in the delay. He’s not just the star, but also the director, so it makes sense that his busy workload would impact the timeline of our anticipated game release.
Fuller added, “Now, he’s extremely busy and difficult to schedule, as he’s currently working on a film. Once he completes that project, we can only hope he will focus on [‘A Quiet Place 3‘] next. We are eager to conclude this trilogy, and I’m optimistic there might be more ‘Quiet Place’ films after that.
Other information about the third film, including the plot details, has yet to be announced.
