1997 saw the creation of a documentary film by a team of filmmakers, initially focusing on a remote Amazonian tribe. However, their journey took an unexpected turn when they encountered a colossal anaconda. Predictably, events spiraled out of control as the anaconda began to attack and kill members of the group.
The movie was destroyed by critics, but it became a cult classic, and now it will get a remake.
Anaconda – Starring Jack Black & Paul Rudd?
According to THR, it’s whispered that I might find myself sharing the screen with none other than Jack Black and Paul Rudd in the forthcoming reboot of the iconic 1997 movie, Anaconda. This new take promises to breathe fresh life into the original classic!
It’s quite thrilling to announce that the director of the upcoming remake will be none other than Tom Gormican, recognized for his work on the movie “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” featuring stars such as Pedro Pascal and Nicolas Cage.
Additionally, he will also co-write the project.
The remake will be about:
A group of friends facing mid-life crises who are remaking their favorite movie from their youth. They head to the rainforest only to find themselves in a fight for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes and violent criminals.
Given that the initial film was brimming with humorous, often accidental, scenes, it’s hardly unexpected that Jack Black and Paul Rudd were part of the cast.
