As a long-time fan of the Harry Potter universe, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the prospect of a Hogwarts Legacy sequel! Despite the controversies surrounding its creator, JK Rowling, and the initial backlash, the game has proven to be a magical success.

As per Statista, the game Hogwarts Legacy has shifted approximately 24 million units up until January 2024, suggesting that it may have sold even more towards the end of the year. The game initially stirred up some controversy due to JK Rowling’s outspoken views against transgender individuals (and more recently, women), which were further amplified by David Haddad, President of WB Games, avoiding direct responses to her opinions during PR engagements.
