As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for time-traveling action games, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Kingmakers! The blend of medieval mayhem and modern weaponry has always been a tantalizing prospect, reminiscent of the glory days of Army of Darkness.

Earlier this year, there was much buzz about Kingmakers, as its trailer unveiled a striking blend of medieval soldiers and modern-day vehicles like pickup trucks, along with high-powered rifles. This unique concept is brought to life by Redemption Road and published by tinyBuild, with the game set for release later this year. Interestingly, there are plans for a movie adaptation of Kingmakers, as Story Kitchen has signed a deal with tinyBuild to produce and distribute the film based on the game.

As a longtime fan of tinyBuild games and someone who has spent countless hours exploring their unique worlds, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon reading the announcement about the Kingmakers movie. Having played many of their games that push the boundaries of creativity and gameplay mechanics, I have come to expect nothing less than excellence from this developer. The prospect of seeing one of their games brought to life on the big screen is truly exhilarating.

Upon unveiling Kingmakers, its time-displaced aspects sparked likenesses to Army of Darkness. However, Kingmakers is now ready to spin its unique tale on the big screen. As for who will helm, script, or appear in this movie, details remain undisclosed. Yet, tinyBuild and Redemption Road are set to collaborate extensively with Story Kitchen during the film’s creation process.

Story Kitchen has revealed that it’s developing a second movie from a video game, with the project titled Kingmakers. Simultaneously, they’re working on a film adaptation of the indie success Dredge. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming movies and TV series based on video games.
