Released on July 25, 2025, and directed by Matt Shakman, The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been gracing theater screens.

Fans are complaining about Fantastic Four’s many deleted scenes

Fans of Marvel are flooding social media platforms, voicing their displeasure over certain scenes from the trailers of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” that were removed in the film’s final version.

Prior to the movie’s premiere, director Matt Shakman disclosed that all scenes involving John Malkovich as the Red Ghost were removed from the final version of the film. Notably, one scene that was eliminated from the movie is where Reed Richards and Sue Storm guide a visitor through the Baxter building.

In the trailer, there were scenes that didn’t appear in the actual movie. For example, a line where Reed says “I stretched the limits of space, and they heard,” was missing from the film. Fans have noticed this inconsistency and are expressing their concerns about the edits.

The user expressed on X (previously known as Twitter), “Contemplating the numerous sequences from the trailers that didn’t make it to the final cut, I believe Fantastic Four could have benefited from an additional 20-30 minutes. Despite the film’s excellent pace and my enjoyment of it, there were some scenes I was eagerly anticipating that unfortunately didn’t feature in the final product.

In simpler terms, Alex Coleman mentioned, “I noticed that a lot of exciting elements were missing from the trailers for The Fantastic Four’s First Steps. Some of the most interesting parts, too.

Additionally, the user requested access to the extended version of the movie. They expressed this by saying, “ReleaseTheShakmanCut… I’m eagerly awaiting the 4-hour rendition of The Fantastic Four First Steps. There appears to be a significant amount of footage missing from the trailers. #TheFantasticFour

A viewer expressed, “One of the scenes shown in the trailers that I was eagerly anticipating watching on the big screen ended up being left out for some unknown reason.

Regardless, fans can now catch The Fantastic Four: First Steps in their nearest cinemas.
