A new trailer for Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires sets a release date for the animated DC movie.
Warner Bros. Animation, Ánima, and Chatrone have introduced a fresh movie titled ‘Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires’. Instead of the usual setting, this film positions the famous DC Super Hero within the enchanting history of Mexico, offering fans from all over the globe an engaging dive into the thrilling culture of Mesoamerica.
Under the direction of Juan Meza-Léon and a screenplay penned by Ernie Altbacker, this film boasts an impressive English voice cast featuring Jay Hernandez, known for his roles in Magnum P.I., Suicide Squad, and Raymond Cruz, who has been seen on Sons of Anarchy, The Mayans, and Better Call Saul.
When is the release date for Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires?
On September 19, 2025, the digital version of “Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires” will be available for purchase. Four days later, on September 23, 2025, you can buy the movie in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, or DVD format.

The synopsis for the film describes a fresh take on the Batman story set against the lively and powerful society of 16th-century Mesoamerica. In the era of the Aztec empire, Yohualli Coatl, a young Aztec lad, experiences a devastating loss when his father is killed by Spanish invaders. Determined to alert King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, about the approaching threat, Yohualli flees towards Tenochtitlán. In this city, he learns from his mentor in the temple of the bat god Tzinacan, crafting tools and weapons to combat the Spanish invasion and seek vengeance for his father’s demise. Throughout his journey, he crosses paths with significant characters such as the formidable Jaguar Woman and the captivating Forest Ivy.

Moreau are credited as producers, while Sam Register, Tomás Yankelevich, and Michael Uslan serve as executive producers for the film.
