One of Sweeney’s initial acting ventures was the Disney XD series, where she appeared as a guest star at the time. Notably, her early career also involved guest appearances on shows like Heroes, Criminal Minds, Chase, 90210, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Middle.
At the bottom of the martial arts school ladder within the national Bobby Wasabi chain, we find Sensei Rudy and his struggling academy, known as The Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy. With the threat of closure looming, a twist arrives when reluctant newcomer Jack Brewer (Leo Howard) steps onto the mat.
During this journey, Brewer becomes part of a team. This group consists of him, Jerry – a rough character prone to laziness, and Kim – a highly skilled martial artist who exudes self-assuredness. The three of them soon begin instructing the local eccentrics about life, karate, and the motto of “kick it.” Over time, they develop an unconventional bond, recognizing that they can be a formidable presence if they stand united.
Kickin’ It is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
