Furthermore, a Reddit post mentioned that “Fantastic Four: First Steps had a superior opening this morning in Paris compared to the simultaneous release of Deadpool and Wolverine last year”, despite being screened on fewer theaters. Specifically, these Marvel characters, played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, debuted on 25 screens and sold approximately 2,626 tickets in Paris at 2 PM last year.
