The film titled Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is being actively worked on at this time. Known as the Russo Brothers, Joe and Anthony Russo are helming this production. It’s set to hit theaters in December 2026. Following that, another installment, Avengers: Secret Wars, will be unveiled a year later.

As per The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast, Chris Hemsworth’s character, Thor, is set to take on a significant role in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday, making him a key player in the plotline.
At present, let’s consider this information as just a rumor. Officially, specific details about the upcoming MCU film are still kept secret.
Initially, there were speculations that Pedro Pascal’s character, Reed Richards, would be the one to lead the Avengers in Doomsday, based on a statement made by The Fantastic Four: First Steps director Matt Shakman to Variety. However, Pascal clarified to Entertainment Weekly that Shakman’s comment was misunderstood or misinterpreted.
