During a recent interview alongside his fellow cast members, Quinn expressed excitement about his Marvel debut and spoke highly of working alongside esteemed actors from the franchise.

The actor from Stranger Things chose to heed the genuine counsel of the Oscar-winning actress as he prepared for his highly anticipated Marvel movie premiere.
During a chat with Alan Cumming on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Joseph Quinn disclosed that before starting in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, he sought advice from his friend Lupita Nyong’o to prepare for the film. She advised him to consider dying his hair blonde for the part.
As I delved deeper into my role as Joel in The Last of Us, it wasn’t just about dying my hair blond; Pedro Pascal playfully added that you also need to “embrace the inner blondness.” Laughing, I admitted, “I never knew I had a hint of a blond boy within me. It felt like returning home.
In a previous project, Quinn and Nyong’o collaborated in A Quiet Place: Day One. Their bond formed on set led to rumors about them being more than just friends. These whispers grew louder when Nyong’o was seen with him at the 2024 Academy Awards, as reported by Cosmopolitan.
Although the speculations about them dating turned out to be false, fans admired the natural chemistry between Joseph Quinn and Lupita Nyong’o in their scenes together. In an interview with Refinery 29, she disclosed that they initially crossed paths when filming had already begun, which greatly contributed to their on-screen relationship feeling authentic.
Lena and Joe (Quinn) shared a common approach towards their work, which they both referred to as their shared dedication. Lena described it by stating, “What I want to point out is that Joe has a comparable work ethic to mine.” She further elaborated, “He’s less focused on his ego and more concerned with supporting his character. He arrives at work enthusiastically, and he’s always fully engaged.
At present, Joseph Quinn is preparing for the upcoming premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, scheduled to be in theaters on July 25, 2025.
