What are the new DCU updates from James Gunn?
In a recent chat with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, I, as an enthusiastic fan, wasn’t exactly thrilled by James Gunn’s update about the progress of “The Authority.” It seems we might have to wait a bit longer for more news on this intriguing project.
Gunn stated, ‘We’ve had a tough time.’ He has shifted his focus to a new project within the DCU, which I believe he is currently excelling at immensely.
Gunn didn’t disclose details about the other project, only mentioning it as another movie within the DC Universe. Previously known as one of the initial projects unveiled by Gunn when DC Studios was launched, ‘The Authority’ has since been shrouded in uncertainty. Lately, rumors have emerged indicating that the film has been pushed back and is now sitting on the sidelines of DC’s upcoming releases.
Regarding Swamp Thing, Gunn recently shared some encouraging news. When asked if director James Mangold had submitted a script for the project, Gunn disclosed that it hasn’t been done yet. However, he mentioned they’ve had a conversation recently.
According to Gunn, we had a conversation with James recently. However, he hasn’t provided a script yet because he’s preoccupied with all the numerous films he’s working on. Nonetheless, we plan to discuss it further.
