The Desert Perpetual Contest Mode / World First
The inaugural race for The Desert Perpetual began on July 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time / 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Competition mode is now live and will last for 48 hours, enabling all players to participate in the raid under challenging circumstances. Once a raid team successfully completes competition mode, normal mode will become accessible to everyone. Bungie has announced that players will reach the recommended level when they achieve Power Level 100, which occurs after finishing the Edge of Fate campaign.
