Digital Extremes continues to develop Soulframe, their sequel to the highly popular Warframe. During TennoCon 2025, they offered a peek into what we can expect from the game’s future. At present, Soulframe is being shaped through Preludes – segments of gameplay that are regularly updated with new content, tweaks, and sometimes radical changes. Think of it as an early development stage where the community plays an active role.
For over a year now, players have had hands-on experience with Soulframe in our pre-alpha builds, and as a studio, we’ve learned countless lessons and added numerous new features based on that experience, said Geoff Crookes, Creative Director of Soulframe. After the last TennoCon, we invested significant effort into enhancing combat fluidity and have been passionately working since then to develop fresh features like player social hubs, asynchronous messaging with World Trees, and many other additions. Today, we revealed what the latest updates for our next pre-alpha build will include and beyond. We pledge to all current and future players that we will continue to experiment with ideas outside of our comfort zone and collaborate with you to create something we’ve all been eagerly anticipating.
Here’s a more casual and straightforward rephrase of your text:
“It’s been tricky getting into Soulframe Preludes so far, but here’s some fantastic news! For a limited time only, you can create an account on Soulframe.com by July 20th at 11:59 PM ET and secure yourself an Envoy name. This will grant you immediate access to all the current features of Soulframe Preludes. You’ll be able to keep this access until the game officially launches. Don’t miss out if you want early access; if you sign up after July 20th, you’ll have to wait in line for additional access to become available.
For individuals joining or managing to join within the limited registration period, you’ll encounter formidable new adversaries, including the Wazzard of Wastes – the source of the decay that has infected the Galvinar swamp. Notably, we had a close encounter with Bromius, a once-beautiful and kind bear now corrupted by dark, contaminated sap. To be honest, I have never felt as strongly about anyone as I do about Bromius. He’s simply going through a difficult time right now, and I am confident we can help him find his way back.
In terms of gameplay enhancements, Soulframe is introducing an innovative system for skill progression and combat, offering players a wider range of customization options. This means you’ll have greater freedom in how you develop your character, making the gaming experience more diverse. The combat during the demo appeared polished and enjoyable, showing significant improvement since last year’s event. I am excitedly looking forward to seeing what new developments await Soulframe in the future.
