Based on a recent report by Deadline, anticipation for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is high, with estimates suggesting that its opening weekend box office could range from $100 million to $110 million. Interestingly, this film’s presale figures are already surpassing those of other Marvel Cinematic Universe films like Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World.
In comparison, while First Steps and Superman are not directly competing, Superman appears to be outperforming First Steps in several significant areas. Although both were projected to earn similar amounts, Superman had a powerful debut with $125 million during its opening weekend. Interestingly, Deadline’s report indicates that Superman’s presales were 20% higher than those of First Steps before its premiere.
In the movie “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” Pedro Pascal takes on the role of Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby portrays Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn embodies Johnny Storm, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach steps into the shoes of Ben Grimm. The film also features Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner in a dual role as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. Furthermore, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne are part of the cast, though their specific roles have not been disclosed yet.
