How to complete Dark Academia in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate
In the course of The Edge of Fate campaign, you gain access to Dark Academia roughly halfway through. This occurs right after you acquire the power to manipulate Mattermorph. To successfully finish off Dark Academia, search for and eliminate three fuses within Augur’s Bethel, which is part of the Exile’s Accord.
By following this action, you reduce the barrier protecting a gadget that you power up using Matterspark. Upon charging, the device enables a nearby door for you to enter, revealing a collection of objects inside the room. After inspecting these items, you then return to the Dean to collect your compensation.
In the realm of Dark Academia, locating the essential trio of fuses can be quite a challenge, but fortunately, you’ll find their exact spots detailed here.
First fuse location
Travel swiftly to the Curtilage Divide, then proceed east towards Augur’s Bethel. Upon arrival in the area, slightly veer right into the primary room where a damaged tunnel runs to your left. Near a small bridge, you’ll find a section of pipe jutting out. The fuse can be found inside this protrusion.
Second fuse location
1. To access the second fuse, use Mattermorph.
2. To find the skill hub, make your way to the train located in the rear part of the zone labeled ‘Nine-touched’.
Moving forward, leap onto the overhead structures (pipes and platforms). You’ll discover a Matterspark platform there, but for the moment, let’s bypass it. Instead, traverse the platforms away from the wall and hop onto the pipes to your right as well.
In the dimly lit upper corner of the room, you’ll spot the Mattermorph node. Once activated, make your way back down to the platform of the Nine train.
As a devoted user of Mattermorph, I’ve stumbled upon a substantial sheet metal object that seems ripe for manipulation. Behind it, hidden in plain sight, lies the second fuse.
Third fuse location
1. To get to the third fuse located near the Matterspark pad, you’ll need Mattermorph. Go back to the node, use Mattermorph, then come back to the Matterspark pad.
or
2. The third fuse is right by the Matterspark pad, but you can’t reach it without Mattermorph. So, go to the node, activate Mattermorph, and then return to the Matterspark pad.
Move towards the front, stopping just short of the laser barriers, and you’ll notice some piping that you can manipulate with Mattermorph. Use it to expose the third fuse located on the lower right-side pipe.
Unlock the door, scan the remains, and investigate the altar
Almost there! Go ahead and turn on Matterspark again. Once activated, head back to your protected Matterspark gadget. Give it a good charge to open the door, then engage with the Aionian apparatus. After listening to the conversation, you’ll find yourself just two more straightforward steps away from completion.
Give me a moment, I’m about to activate my Ghost scanner. This tool allows me to analyze the faint ghostly outlines on the walls for any useful information or clues.
After that, head towards the peculiar alter situated at the corner of this compact space, take a closer look and examine it. You’ll discover an orb-like object in orange hue lying on the floor. Make your way back to the Caldera and converse with the Dean to collect your prizes.
