Freddie Gibbs x The Alchemist’s ‘Alfredo: The Movie’ Is Dropping Tomorrow

For several weeks now, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have been subtly hinting at their upcoming joint project. Yesterday, they unveiled the cover art for the album, and today they’ve given us a sneak peek of what seems to be the accompanying film for the eagerly awaited album – Alfredo: The Movie.

The duo, Gibbs and Alc, posted the teaser of their upcoming project on Instagram, labeling it as “A Tale of Crime in Tokyo.” They will both feature in the movie, though details are yet to be confirmed whether it’s a complete film or a short one, with Nicholas Walker leading as director.

The narrator, speaking from off-screen, compares life to pouring sake. He advises that one should do so with sincerity, as nothing will be wasted. This comparison is shown on the screen with yellow subtitles at the bottom.

If you even slightly let your attention slip, you’ll end up spoiling your own garments. Is that clear?” The speaker emphasizes.

Recently, a pre-save link for the upcoming album “Alfredo 2” has been popping up online. This link displayed the possible cover art of the upcoming album, but it was soon deactivated and led to an error page. The first album titled “Alfredo” was officially released on May 29, 2020.

The Movie”, premieres on YouTube this coming Thursday, July 17th, at 9 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
