In the trailer for Stranger Things Season 5, viewers return to Hawkins where the characters we know attempt a final confrontation with Vecna, skillfully portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower.

In autumn of 1987, Hawkins is ravaged by the appearance of rifts, and our group of friends are determined to accomplish one task: locate and eliminate Vecna. However, he has vanished without a trace, leaving his whereabouts and intentions unclear. Making their mission more difficult, the town has been placed under military lockdown, and they’re intensifying their search for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance draws near, so does an ominous feeling of dread that’s all too familiar. The final battle is approaching — along with a darkness more potent and dangerous than anything they’ve faced before. To put an end to this nightmare, they’ll need everyone, their entire group, united one last time.
