In this walkthrough for Destiny 2’s The Edge of Fate expansion, we’ll navigate through the tricky parts of the side quest titled “Vessel of the Nine.” It may seem a bit clumsy at first, but don’t worry – once you understand the steps, it’ll be as easy as pie. I’m not sure if this awkwardness is due to design choices or potential bugs, but let’s get started!

In the game “Vessel of the Nine,” you’ll assist Lodi as he navigates some personal transformations. Your journey begins by engaging with his journal, which is conveniently placed on a table near the central zone in Kepler. There’s a minor glitch possibility where the quest doesn’t start auto-tracking. If this happens, simply navigate to your Quest tab and manually begin tracking the mission from there.

From now on, keep moving along the designated path until you reach an expansive space where Vex and Fallen are clashing. Eliminate all of them while Lodi is still speaking. Once he finishes, you’ll be instructed to “find a sign that suggests Lodi’s proximity”. To accomplish this, make your way to the door located on the left side of the main entrance as you initially entered. This door will be securely locked with two small generators. Near the left side of the door, there will be a group of deceased Fallen. Approach them closely and you’ll have the option to “tap into the dark energy source.

Now, here’s what you need to do: First, activate both generators and approach the control panel. Proceed down the hallway where you’ll encounter some opponents. Defeat them, then you’ll notice some fallen comrades near crates and boxes stacked up. Interact with them to move forward. The instructions for this quest may suggest finding slime, but all I could see were fallen enemies.

Again, advance ahead and you’ll encounter another expansive space filled with adversaries and a secured entrance. Eliminate the enemies, followed by the smaller power sources linked to the door through yellow cables. Once these tasks are completed, unlock the doors and continue your journey.

As you progress, you’ll encounter another zone teeming with combative foes. Eliminate them all, then navigate your way to the bottom level, circling around the large central support structure. Nearby, you’ll find additional entities to engage. If you scrutinize the crane lifting a huge engine at the back of the room carefully, you’ll notice a faint glow.

It seems like the goal indicator might be located randomly, hinting at a potential issue. Navigate towards the left part of the room, where the damaged wall sections are situated at the back. Ascend the walls using them as steps, then leap over to the crane and engage with the luminescent symbol there.
