Who is the voice actor for Ikora in Destiny 2?

In the “Edge of Fate” expansion for Destiny 2, there were numerous modifications, yet the accessibility of voice acting talent was something it had minimal influence on. Currently, the character Ikora has been given a new voice by an actor who may be familiar to you, but let’s find out who it is…

Who voices Ikora in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate?

It seems that Ikora is currently being voiced by Debra Wilson due to difficulties in finding voice talent during the SAG-AFTRA strike and other circumstances. If her voice sounds recognizable, it’s because prior to her role as Ikora, she played Savathun in the previous two expansions.

As a dedicated fan, I must say, you might be familiar with Ms. Wilson from her electrifying roles in games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and numerous other titles. What’s surprising is her recent shift within the main Destiny cast – a move that came as quite a shock since her selection was somewhat unexpected, without any prior announcement.

In May, Bungie announced that due to an ongoing strike, some voices might be silenced or altered in The Edge of Fate. After its release, they confirmed this had indeed occurred. Furthermore, they mentioned that all the dialogue is now being rerecorded, hoping to secure long-term actors for better quality.

Here’s another way to phrase it:

As a side note, you should know that Ikora’s voice actor has been replaced before. Originally portrayed by Gina Torres, her character was later revoiced by Mara Junot. At this point, we don’t yet know if Mara will continue in the role she’s played for so long. The decision will be made once recording is finished and Bungie is satisfied with the performance they receive.
