Martin Scorsese has a hilarious reaction to his Emmy nomination.
Scorsese has received his initial Emmy Award nomination for playing a guest role. This renowned filmmaker, who won an Oscar, made an appearance in the premiere episode of “The Studio,” a series co-created by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
In the given episode, Scorsese, portraying himself, proposes a high-budget film on the Jonestown massacre to Rogen’s character, Matt Remick. At first, Matt is interested in producing the movie; however, he later decides against it and informs his superior that he purchased Scorsese’s script with the intention of preventing its production. Eventually, Scorsese learns about this secret purchase and reacts emotionally, breaking down into tears.

In addition to the protagonist, a variety of other talented actors such as Ron Howard, Anthony Mackie, Dave Franco, Bryan Cranston, and Zoë Kravitz were also up for the guest-starring roles in The Studio.
Throughout his career, Scorsese has earned three Emmy Awards in different categories:
1. For exceptional directing in a drama series, he won for the pilot episode of Boardwalk Empire.
2. In the category of Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, he received an award for George Harrison: Living in the Material World.
3. And again for George Harrison: Living in the Material World, he was recognized with another Emmy Award, this time under the category of Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming.
In the recent past, Scorsese released the movie titled “Killers of the Flower Moon” in 2023. At present, he has several upcoming projects under development such as his movie about Jesus and a mafia-themed film featuring Dwayne Johnson, which is set in Hawaii.
As a gaming enthusiast, diving into The Studio’s ten thrilling episodes has been an absolute blast! Streaming it on Apple TV+ has been my go-to pastime lately. Excitingly, the series has been greenlit for a second season, although a release date is still under wraps. The talented Seth Rogen graces the screen as one of the main characters, alongside Catherine O’Hara playing Patty Leigh, Ike Barinholtz embodying Sal Saperstein, Chase Sui Wonders portraying Quinn Hackett, and Kathryn Hahn bringing Maya Mason to life. Can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next!
