Actor Joseph Quinn, who plays Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four, shared his thoughts about the top Spider-Man in an interview recently. He admired the representation of Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressed eagerness for a possible collaboration, and reminisced on the enduring bond between their characters as depicted in comic books.
Joseph Quinn would like to team up with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man after Fantastic Four
At the movie’s red carpet event, I shared with DiscussingFilm my honest thoughts: “Oh, absolutely! It’d be incredible if they brought me into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Spider-Man. Tom Holland’s portrayal of Peter Parker is just outstanding – he’s the best Spidey there is, so having a chance to play alongside him would be simply awesome!

In simpler terms, Quinn’s statement fuels discussions among fans regarding a potential collaboration between the Human Torch and Spider-Man within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While they’ve been partners in comic books for years, they haven’t shared the screen in live-action before due to rights issues. However, Disney (Marvel Studios) got control over the Fantastic Four in 2019 by buying 20th Century Fox, but Sony still holds the reins for Spider-Man’s live-action movies.
In the upcoming movie “Avengers: Doomsday,” scheduled for release in 2026, Quinn will reprise his role as the Human Torch. Tom Holland, who’s been playing Spider-Man since 2016, is slated to appear in “Spider-Man: Fresh Start” on July 31, 2026. Although there are no known Marvel projects that bring these two characters together, rumors swirl that Holland might make an appearance in “Doomsday,” but this has not been officially confirmed by Marvel.
First Steps” is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
Previously, rights complications had made it impossible for the two franchises to intersect. Yet, the recent developments showing Marvel Studios’ ownership of the Fantastic Four and their partnership with Sony are said to boost the likelihood that this crossover could actually happen.
