James Gunn’s Superman, currently playing in theaters, is captivating audiences with its vibrant characters and thrilling action scenes. The revamped DC Universe in this movie seems reminiscent of a lively Saturday morning cartoon. Consequently, it’s no surprise that there are numerous figures available for collecting and play.
Recently, ComingSoon had a chance to examine three distinct Superman action figures. Each one was remarkably unique from the others, demonstrating an extensive variety of options available. Regardless if you’re seeking toys for your children or collector’s items to exhibit your admiration, there are some fantastic Superman figures that perfectly suit your preferences.
Krypto takes flight with Spin Master’s RC toy

Similar to many people, some of my favorite movie moments revolve around Krypto. Though he’s not always well-mannered like a regular dog, he’s undeniably lovable. One of the most exciting merchandise items is Spin Master’s Superman Up in the Sky! Flying Krypto RC toy, enabling you to play with a flying Krypto figure.
Among the three Superman figures I recently acquired, this one, retailing at $32.99, has become my favorite. Unlike other RC toys, it’s hand-controlled, allowing it to hover effortlessly over your palm. No need to worry about batteries, as it charges via a USB cable, making it a one-time cost.
Flying this toy is quite the spectacle and I must admit, it’s more enjoyable for older kids who can chase it around in mid-air. The controls may require some practice, but I find that charmingly old-fashioned (I’d still appreciate a remote control option). The Krypto sculpt is adorable, capturing his distinctive ears perfectly, and I appreciate its originality.
McFarlane Toys has quality action figures

The McFarlane Toys’ Superman & Krypto figure was the most intriguing collectible I examined. This 7-inch Superman figurine comes accompanied by an endearing Krypto too. Priced at $39.99, it offers a balanced choice – neither overly expensive nor of inferior quality. The Superman figure comes with three additional face plates: one with red eyes to mimic his laser vision, and two flat hands to complement the standard action hands. This set delivers a satisfying amount of extras.
In this toy, the level of detail is striking, particularly the soft goods cape that can be positioned in various ways and has a tactile quality reminiscent of David Corenswet. This figure boasts 22 movable components, ensuring you can stage your scenes creatively. Additionally, it comes with an art card as a collectible bonus (check out the images provided). It complements well with other McFarlane figures based on the movie, making it an excellent commencement for a DC Universe action figure collection.
Imaginext Superman figures are great for kids

One captivating aspect of the film involves Superman battling a colossal beast that’s terrorizing Metropolis, making it suitable for younger audiences. Initially appearing cute as a baby, the creature soon grows massive and causes destruction. In contrast to its movie ending, the Fisher-Price Imaginext Superman Kaiju Clash toy set features the monster handcuffed instead of being destroyed or deceased.
For just $34.99, this set includes a colossal 10-inch Kaiju toy, perfect for kids aged three and above. On the other hand, the stylish Superman figure stands at 3 inches tall. However, the oversized Kaiju steals the show with its tail-mounted trigger that activates both lights and sounds, transforming playtime into an immersive battle experience for children. The glowing eyes of the Kaiju add a fun touch, while the toy’s movement helps nurture motor skills in young kids.
Absolutely, these are merely some options from an extensive collection. More exclusive and high-end figures will become available over time for collectors who prefer pricier items. Don’t forget to explore online and choose the figure that suits you best.
