Kota Srinivasa Rao Demise: Jr NTR mourns the irreplaceable loss, says ‘Let’s celebrate the legacy he left’

83-year-old renowned Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away on July 13 (Sunday). Most of his career was spent in Southern cinema. Many famous personalities like SS Rajamouli, Chiranjeevi, Rana Daggubati, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, and others have expressed their sorrow over the loss of this extraordinary talent. In a more recent gesture, Jr NTR visited his home to pay tribute.

The actor from the movie RRR visited Kota Srinivasa Rao’s family to express his sympathies. He appeared anxious and saddened. When speaking with reporters, Jr NTR remarked, “Let’s honor the remarkable legacy he left us through his unforgettable performances, across all our platforms, without being sorrowful.

Additionally, as the crowd began cheering for Jai NTR, he promptly interjected, saying ‘Jai Kota Srinivasa Rao’.

In the early hours, the actor publicly mourned on social media about Kota Srinivasa Rao. He wrote, “Sir, just hearing your name brings respect. Your acting skills were unmatched. A magnificent actor who brought soul to every character with his distinctive touch. The times we worked together on screen will be etched in my memory forever. I hope for tranquility for his spirit. I send my heartfelt sympathies to his relatives and those close to him.

Know about Kota Srinivasa Rao’s acting career 

For those unfamiliar, Kota Srinivasa Rao’s acting career has been active for more than five decades. While he is predominantly known for his work in the Telugu language, he has also appeared in films produced in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Some of his notable roles can be found in Gaayam, Money, Aa Naluguru, Sarkar, Bommarillu, and most recently in the 2023 film Suvarna Sundari.

The seasoned performer is particularly recognized for his humorous and antagonistic performances on screen. Notably, he received nine Nandi awards and was granted the Padma Shri in 2015. In addition to his successful acting career, this veteran figure also dabbled in politics and held the position of MLA from Vijayawada.
