Following the release of The Walking Dead on July 29th, a new original chapter inspired by Asian folklore in Dead By Daylight will arrive in September. In November, we anticipate another licensed episode featuring two survivors and one killer. Previous speculations hinted towards a third Resident Evil installment, but this seems to have been debunked by Behaviour’s community manager. As of now, there are no confirmed leaks, but if a recent tease is accurate, the next Dead By Daylight collaboration could prove to be Behaviour’s most unusual yet.
Next Dead By Daylight licensed chapter possibly teased
The upcoming licensed chapter for Dead By Daylight is due in November, and while nothing official has been revealed, fans of DBD are speculating that it could be Danganronpa. This guess stems from Brian Beacock, the voice actor for Monokuma, posting a cryptic message on Twitter. He wrote “11.25.2025” along with a gif of Monokuma, which he later appeared to delete.
It looks like this mysterious clue is suggesting a major reveal for the Danganronpa series is on its way. Unfortunately, no additional details about what this announcement might entail have been given, other than the date. Given that November 25th marks the 15th anniversary of the first game’s release in 2010, it appears to be a significant day for fans of the bear-themed franchise.
There’s been chatter in the past about a remake for Trigger Happy Havoc, the initial game in the Danganronpa series, which would be fitting for its 15th anniversary. Since the announcement is coming in November, some Dead By Daylight fans speculate that Monokuma might join the fog.
Danganronpa in DBD?(I know it’s a stretch)

Although the Danganronpa series boasts a large and dedicated fan base, it might seem unusual for BeHaviour to collaborate in this way. Admittedly, there’s a chance a new chapter could materialize, but based on initial analysis, the probability seems rather low.
As a gamer, I’ve got to say, the news about Dead By Daylight dropping on November 25th feels a bit too last-minute for my taste. I was hoping we’d get a Play Test Build (PTB) by late October or early November at least, before the new chapter officially launches.
Also, with only two survivors and one killer, it seems like this crossover might lean more towards the traditional and mainstream side of things. I’m just saying, I love the unexpected twists and turns that Dead By Daylight usually brings!
It’s quite possible that we’ll see another installment of Stranger Things since Season 5 is due on November 26th. Moreover, the first crossover between Stranger Things and Dead by Daylight featured Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington as Survivors, accompanied by the Demogorgon as the Killer.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but speculate that we might be in store for another installment of Resident Evil. While some may have dismissed talks of a third chapter, it seems plausible given that Resident Evil has been Dead By Daylight’s most successful Chapter outside of Five Nights At Freddy’s. Plus, with characters like the widely-requested Lady Dimitrescu still waiting to make their mark, there’s a wealth of potential survivors and killers yet to be explored.
Essentially, we’re all in anticipation as BeHaviour hasn’t unveiled their November license yet. It seems there are numerous contenders beyond Stranger Things, Resident Evil, and Danganronpa, which has generated quite the buzz.
