The spirit of Mount Yotei recently received a specialized Sony State of Play presentation, showcasing fresh gameplay and narrative aspects from Sucker Punch Productions’ forthcoming title. On top of this, the studio unveiled a duo of exclusive PlayStation 5 systems and controllers, both adorned with the motif of the upcoming video game.
At the end of today’s State of Play, we caught a glimpse of the Limited Edition Ghost of Yotei PS5 models. There are two distinct versions available, both showcasing the same design inspired by Mount Yōtei. One version adopts a golden hue, while another opts for a black finish. Similarly, the controllers for both versions display the silhouette of the protagonist Atsu and a wolf.
On October 2, 2025, you can get your hands on the Special Edition Ghost of Yotei for PS5, which coincidentally is the same day the game officially launches for the PlayStation 5. The trailer unveiled a comeback of the Kurosawa mode from Ghost of Tsushima, along with new modes developed in partnership with Takashi Miike and Shinichirō Watanabe.
In past console generations, Limited Editions were quite sought-after, but they’ve been scarce during the PlayStation 5 (PS5) era. However, Sony did introduce a Limited Edition PS5 model specifically for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in the year 2023.
